So true, thats probably why you can find 5 or 6 metro Atlanta tags on any given day at the mall. Cobb, Gwinnett, Fulton, Dekalb, Clayton, Rockdale, Cherokee, Forsyth, Newton, Paulding, Fayette etc

Went to the mall last night and it was packed.
I agree about Augusta mall and especially the promenade. You can find people from every county in georgia. Their are people from other states too who come of course south carolina being one. Augusta mall may not have all the store's that Lennox has. But it does have enough close to Perimeter, and North point in Alpharetta. Plus it can compete in exterior looks with all three.

I notice somebody said Apple should be one of the next store's. Along with cheesecake factory. There is a PeachMac that has opened up on washington rd in Evans. PeachMac is one of the country’s largest Apple dealers. Apple has already annouced they will open up a store in Augusta mall in july. I hope cheesecake factory is next.

Douglas county city of Douglasville is a suburb of Atlanta. I see chatham, laurens, oconee, muscogee, bibb to on the ga side. Richland and lexington on the sc.
Do you guys think Augusta can be the retail city between Atlanta and Charlotte. Over Charleston, Columbia, Savannah, & Greenville? All these cities have stores that the other doesn't & vice versa. But can Augusta take a step ahead of the crowded pack of mid-size cities?

When you are saying Atlanta to Charlotte.. you are talking about the I85 corridor.. so Greenville would be it. So I guess your question is which city has better and more retail options, Augusta or Columbia. I would say it would still have to be Columbia.. it has a larger metro population and it has 4 enclosed shopping malls (although 2 of them are on a smaller scale)..and then there is the 300 acre Sandhills Village Lifestyle Center.. which is what The Villages at Riverwatch was supposed to be like.. so I would sayAugusta has some catching up to do to compare with Columbia as far as shopping.

After the Village at Riverwalk... I say Augusta>Columbia. That village at sandhill is about a 35 minute drive from Columbia... Some parts of N. Augusta are just as close to Columbia if you think about it.
Augusta's clean factor also places a big role, Columbia's streets are just full of pot holes, etc.
