Default Section 8 housing coming to Columbia County?

I "read" on the rant/rave forum on CL and someone said that Section 8 housing apts were getting ready to go up at the end of Wheeler Rd- right there where all that land has been cleared beside Ridge Crossing Apts and Marvin UMC. PLEASE SAY IT ISN'T SO!?

Section 8 is already in Columbia County,,,and Old Town, Summerville in Richmon County

I agree and I also realize that the elderly and disabled depend on it as well. Those are not the ones I am talking about. I am talking about the thugs/trash/drug dealers who use and abuse the system.

But thankfully its not coming right into my backyard like I was reading! as I called and checked with CC developement.

All subdivisions should be required to have 20% of each development for section 8.
