Actually, they have only stopped building until the economy improves: http://chronicle.augusta.com/stories...s_552502.shtml

A metro Atlanta tag is in the parking lot. Coweta county to be exact... You can always find one, gwinnett, fulton, dekalb, coweta, clayton, fayette, henry, douglass, cherokee, newton, & rockdale.

I keep saying Augusta mall is now comparable to Perimeter and North Point in Atlanta. Lenox and Phipps still kill it in upscale stores.

Who thinks Augusta can support a Cheesecake Factory, REI, or Dave and Busters? I hope atleast one comes to Augusta this year or next.

Cheesecake Factory-I could see that surviving in Augusta, especially with the success of PF Changs and the Chop House
REI-this could work
Dave and Busters- dont really know if this one would fly, Augusta is weird when it comes to entertainment, we really get excited about all things entertainment then we get bored and it fizzles it. As much as Id love to see one i dont know how long it could sustain itself because there would have to be return customers
