Default Relocating to Augusta from Baltimore

I'm in need of info. on Augusta, Ga lifestyle. I'm considering the move to Augusta from Baltimore, MD. I'm currently pregnant and single. Also, I'm in my early 30s. As for my profession, I'm a Special Education Teacher looking for a new lifestyle for my child. Thus, I was interested in learning more about everyday life. What do people do for fun? Are they friendly? Racist--I'm an African-American Woman. I guess, I'm looking for the info. that you can't get from stats. or a Realtor. Thank you in advance, for your sharing your opinion(s) with me.

Warmly,
Bmoregirl

P.S. I have lived in CO, AZ, GA, & IL, so my background is very diverse.

What people do for fun well the augusta mall is very nice place to shop and eat. Evans, martinez, and North Augusta all have nice spots to shop, eat, socialize, and hang out to. The new movie tavern at the village where u can eat & watch movies on 6 to 10 screens not sure will be a nice place. Richmond county has plenty of bars, clubs, lounges for african americans. I dont think ppl are no more racist in ga than any other state richmond county is 54% black and columbia county which is predominatly white still has average populations of blacks, asians, hispanics and other ethnicities. In the summer & spring months theres always somethin to do downtown the july 4 blast at the river, the Riverwalk, James brown statue, different markets, parades & festivals, concerts, bike races, boat races, FT. Discovery, plays, broadway, different comedians cedric the entertainer and especially steve harvey and bruce bruce stay performing at the Bell Auditorium in downtown augusta. If u have any more questions feel free to ask
