Default Small city outside of Augusta

Need information on good small cities outside of Augusta. Im looking for a town more than a suburban atmosphere. Where I can find nice homes in the 225k range.

How far out do you want to be??
I'd suggest North Augusta or Aiken in South Carolina... both have a small all-america town atmosphere...

You must drive really fast if you can get to Washington or Lincolnton in 30 to 45 mins. Both are nice towns, but bit far out, then for someone working in Augusta. I'd say Aiken is the top choice, then North Augusta, then Grovetown, then Thomson.
