Question Apartments/Duplexes for rent in Waynesboro, GA area?

Anyone have any suggestions? I can't find anything and I'm moving there in March. I really don't want a 45 minutes commute from Augusta if all possible. Plus I haven't heard good things about south Augusta.

Also, what can you tell me about the Waynesboro area? Is it safe, clean, etc.?

Just a little about me -
I'm a 24 year old young professional, white, single, and with no kids. I'm originally from Northwest Arkansas and I accepted a job last year that forces me to travel to different projects for 6 - 12 months at a time. I'm looking for apartments in the $600 to $1000 a month range. Over the past year I've been in Fayetteville, AR (love it - my home);Beaumont, TX (hated it); and West Monroe, LA (it's not bad).

Thanks for your help
Josh

There are nice area's to live in South Augusta. You may want to check out the city of Hephzibah which would be a short commute to Waynesboro.

Screven County, GA (Sylvania) is a nice place. Very laid back, no traffic jams, and very safe. It is about 25 miles from Plant Vogtle and exactly half way between Augusta and Savannah, GA. We have McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Subway, Jalapenos, Huddle House, etc. There is a Days Inn and several "mom & pop" motels. I have a gated cabin rental & RV site if interested. It is located less that 2 miles from the Savannah River boat landing and the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area (17,000 acres of hunting & fishing open to public). You can reach me at 912-682-3974.

Hope this helps.

Nancy
