Hey y'all. I move to Michigan last summer, and was just wondering how things were going down there with the constuction on I-20 and Bobby Jones. Man, its cold up here.

Still working. I think it is set to be completed sometime in 2010. Anyone else hear that year as a completion date?

If you come back to Aug while their still doing construction. Don't use the wheeler rd exit or drive on wheeler period. Don't use I-20 or 520 on diffrent days because its one lane for some point along the interstates sometimes. I would practice having to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Then having to get on the interstates with cars going 55 plus. Also be careful that if you see a exit one day. Don't be to certain the same exit is still going to be there the next day. Especially if you are driving at night. Ok Im done but this has been a crazy experience.

I am glad to finally see this project moving along. This needed to be done like 20 years ago, but I guess better late then ever. I always tried to avoid the I20/I520 interchange because it was inherently dangerous. I've seen many near crashes with vehicles tring to exit and merge using the same small piece strip of asphalt. A simple cloverleaf interchange is never a good idea where two expressways intersect. Adding the new exit ramps for Walton way Ext, and Scott Nixon Memorial drive will also be a great help in alleviating traffic in one of the busiest parts of the city. Did you know that the intersection of Scott Nixon and Bobby Jones was consistently ranked the #1 most dangerous intersection in the county with the most crashes?

I had some of my friends with me in Augusta. From the Atlanta & Tampa area. We were driving around Augusta last week. We laugh because they came to get out of the larger city traffic and ended up saying it almost felt like home. When we tried to get on the wheeler rd exit from I-520. That dot has now dump onto the heavy traffic marks church road.
