I am looking to purchase vacant land in Augusta, does anyone know if you have to develop the land right after purchase and what the tax rate on vacant land might be?

Does anyone have the name and or contact info on getting this info? Would a realtor know?

Augusta has rather lax zoning laws for a city...
there has been much criticism of this, especially on the development of property, as you have ppl that will buy prime land and just "sit" on it for years and never develop it. Si I think the answer to your question is "no" I don't believe you have to develop a parcel right away.
