Based rated schools in the CSRA are in Columbia County (statistically WAY better than Richmond county).

The best elementary school in Columbia County is Stevens creek.

Davidson, Westside, C.T Walker, and AR johnson and other school's in Richmond county are WAY better than alot of school's in Columbia county statistically.

The question is school vs school. Not statistically when richmond has two inner city schools which hurt the overall statistics.

Is the best elementary school in columbia county Stevens creek. Better than Sue Reynolds, National Hills, Warren Road, Lakes Forest Hills in west richmond. The answer is no!

Davidson and CT Walker are magnet schools, and I think they are very good. But there is no guarantee that a child would be accepted there or not. AR Johnson is a high school.

Here are the scores for Stevens creek:

Stevens Creek Elementary School - 3780 Evans To Locks Rd, Augusta, GA - Trulia

We send our children to Stevens Creek. When the state government ended funding for second language instruction, the principal of Stevens Creek requested parents support them. They did, and to this day Stevens Creek is the ONLY public elementary school that still offers this.

People have to understand that magnet schools get to choose their students. They can weed out underperforming students.. so this boosts their test scores and rankings. The magnet schools are not representative of the overall Richmond County school system. If you can get your child into one great, but what if you cannot. Many of them do have waiting lists. So what if you buy a home in richmond county banking on your child getting into a magnet school and they don't get in? And many smart kids don't always get in, because the schools must maintain racial quotas. So your kid could have great grades but gets denied a spot because they are of the wrong ethnic or racial group. If you are in Martinez or Evans you have a pretty good bet that your child will be attending a good school.
