Where is the alot of info I've posted that was incorrect. Because I always leave a link with my post. You are the one who post alot of incorrect things. Remember Carmax wasn't even built according to you. You also said in the ''Augusta booming despite tough economy'' thread. How Augusta unemployment numbers were higher than they really were too. I don't think its a coincidence either. Soon after kit624 gets called out for false info. Here you come to defend him. Its the same thing everytime. Make a thread on something positive in Augusta. Then you know who is coming to say something negative.

The NSA opens next year. There are only three in the entire world.

NSA? Doesn't that mean National Security Agency? Is having a spy agency
in your city a positive?

Reason: the word council should have been agency

Yes, its a very positive thing the NSA is located in Augusta. The NSA opens in 2010 and will create over 4,000 jobs in a recession. Their are thousands of transplants who are or have already, relocated to metro Augusta because of the development.

Well,I see the stupidity of greenville,or should I say, certain of its immature memberes poorly representing it still goes on.
I also see some of you here in Augusta, getting all worked up with the childish mindset of these people in greenville and you don't realize that this is exaxtly what they want from you and when you argue back and forth with them they are the winners.
Georgia Transplant, and otheres on here, take my advice.Go to your settings on this site like I did and block g-man430,and motonenterprises, and any other children you see on this forum with nothing better to do with there time than play these games and block them.
I did it several months ago and have not once worried about what they have been saying which really amounts to nothing at all as they don't control nothing or nobody living in Augusta, and in no way can stop the progress of what is being built here
See,it's like the old saying,"if you give a man enought rope,he'll hang himself"Nobody on the Augusta forum, need say anything back in defense of Augusta. When they come on this forum and provoke arguments, try to post things about greenville on another forum(which is suppose to be aganist the rules)so much for rules though, they hurt theirselves because other people reading these posts wonder why memberes in greenville have to attack someone else's city all the time especially when there's is supposed to be so great.
I mean really just think about it,people will make there own judgements when reading these posts and if they want to appear arrorgant, childish and stupid,I say go for it greenville,"knock yourself out"
One more thing I might add here.It seems perfectly okay for memberes in greenville to come on the Augusta forum to troll(provoke a response from other memberes)and do so continiously but just as soon as me or anyone else gets on the greenville forum to openly express an opinion that doesn't set well with someone in charge, suddenly there's a problem.Just looks like some bias going on to me.
Anyway, the best part about my post here is,certain memberes in greenville will be reading it because they can't help but to tread it,but I will never be able to see there response.
Thank God for small blessings.

... if you happen to be military or gov't employee in security field, multi-language with security clearances. Otherwise, it's imported help.

There's a message displayed on my screen that read's "Message from g-man430 hidden because you have him on your ignore list" What's that g-man?,you'll have to break through my block.
Oh,I can't h***e***a***r*** Y***o***u***
See,fellow Augusta members, that's the beauty of the "ignore list".You post what you normally would post, and then add these certain memberes from greenville who can't help but read our forum posts, and block them,so we never get there trash.
I guess they'll be forced to argue with themselves then,HUh?

nortonguy-I know the deal, I live in the area, Augusta is booming all right, it's booming with part-time, minimum wage jobs, high school dropouts (40%) long unemployment lines, baby mommas on WIC (80% of population growth), teacher furloughs for lack of cash and the din of county commissioners jockeying for their cut, all sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Sure you know the deal..
Augusta unemployment rate is 9.4%........Which is the second lowest among the big cities in GA. Savannah 8.3, Augusta 9.4, Columbus 9.6, Macon 9.9, Atlanta 10.5
Unemployment Rates for Metropolitan Areas
Richmond county graduation rate is 71%. So your 40% dropouts is false. Like all of your post on here. Why can't you stick to facts. I don't care if you dislike Augusta.

I hope the best for Augusta, GA. I love the city and have been theree many times this past year. I happened upon this forum while looking for information on hotel tax rates and was interested in what I was reading and would like to settle the issue of why Augusta is doing better. The pipeline is gong from Savanna through or around Augusta all the way to SC. Next, they will be in Elberton County, GA. The pipeliners are staying in or near Augusta. The pipeline will be completed very soon and many are being layed off or sent to other jobs in other states. I am a mom of one of them and I like to read up on places where they go. The pipeliners are staying in various locations like in extended stay hotels, apartments, and camp sites. They work long days and they eat out alot. They buy trucks. They buy groceries, clothes, and entertainment equipment, etc. They go out for entertainment like bowling, movies, mini-golf and such. It has been almost a year so this year Augusta is doing great. Where ever the pipeline goes, I read that the city where they are located is doing well for that particular year. So, you see, you are all possibly wrong. Tourism is not the reason for Augusta doing so well. It's the pipeline and alot of new temporary families traveling through your town. We love your town. It is one of the nicest they been to in my opinion.
