that seems to be the trend now a days Augusta lands nice hotels and large companies, but they choose to build near west Augusta....... I say if Augusta keeps growing westward we could have 2 nice skylines 1 DT and the other in west Augusta in the future!!!!

Well a Comfort Inn and Value Place hotel. Opened this and last month in South Augusta. A Holiday Inn Express or Farfield Inn is being built across the street. American Tire is building a $50 million facility. Kelloggs is expanding their facility. Adding 225 jobs.

The Medical District already has a semi skyline. Several 8 to 12 story buildings. Its much further along than a West Augusta skyline.

The only place I could see a West Augusta skyline is. I-20/I-520/Wheeler rd/Perimeter pkwy area.

I always refer to the medical district as Mid town Augusta, but that's just me.

I always thought Mid town Augusta. Was Central Ave/around Summerville to Paine College. Where it turns into downtown.
