Default Hephzibah or another choice

I am married with two little children. My wife and I want to move to Augusta GA from Cincinnati OH. Which area around Augusta is family friendly and countrylike? Any thoughts on Hephzibah? We are trying to spend around 350k. Thank you..

for that price range...Evans. Better schools, better re-sale value. Evans is a known commodity...A number of developments in that price range. It gets pretty rural quickly in Augusta. You can go from surburbia in Evans to Clark Hill Lake in about 15-20 minutes...

Hephzibah... less traffic, schools are good, peace and quiet, & more land in Hephzibah's newer subdvisions compared to other suburbs in the metro. For that price range.... Spirit Pointe, Oakridge Plantantion, Arcadia, Spirit Pointe, & Lakes at Spirit Creek.

Lakes at Spirt Creek starts at 220k... brand new subdvision minutes away to Diamond Lakes park. Diamond Lakes has tennis courts, walking trail, a library, and baseball fields.

All of these are really good suggestions and I think it really depends on just how far out you want to live. As a realtor I woud definitely agree that Evans is a very sought after community with great resale value. The majority of my clients are looking in Columbia County based on better schools and resale. I see you are coming from Cincinnati-do you live in the city or on the outskirts. Do you live in a country setting now or have you in the past? There are certian conveniences of living close to ammenities that sometimes we don't think we will miss and then we do when we have to drive 20 or 30 minutes to a grocery store and can't get a pizza delivered. So in case you have always lived in the city it is definitely worth considering how you will feel about not having a Walmart close or ballet classes or peewee football close by for the kids. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the area, especially as a newcomer to the area-as I moved here from Cleveland about a year ago.
