Does Augusta have a "Central" Park?
Does Augusta have a "Central" Park? If so, where? If not, can we make one? and where would it be?

Well those are nice, but the only bad thing is the location. I was looking for something in Augusta, may be in the suburbs. Something similar to Piedmont Park in Atlanta, but not quite that size.

You would think Forest Hills would have something similar to Piedmont Park. I was just thinking of what a time I could have spending at a people and pet friendly park. Ultimate frisbee, flag football, etc. .

Why not in Summerville-Hill or Forest Hills? Two West Augusta neighborhoods who are suburbs and centrally located. A version of Piedmont Park could be a nice addition to the area. Berckman Hill near the Augusta national would be a good choice also. The Augusta National demolished a few homes in the area, created several beautiful grassy areas off washington/berckman road.

Pendleton King
Pendleton King Park just south of the hill is nicer than people who have never been there realize. The have a "bark park", some really nice flower gardens and playgrounds, and trails in the back. I think there was some not so nice activity going on at night there recently, but that has been stopped with closing off the park at nightfall. You can easily walk there from Summerville. There's also a frisbee golf course there.

Do I hear another proposal for the Regency Mall site? A park? or maybe a Zoo slash park?

Pendleton King Park is the park with the antique military equipment there? If so, is the area still cluttered with trees and very limited space to roam. It's still a very nice park, just not big enough. Now, the Regency Mall site, that would be nice area. The only problem is Gordon Highway and that area surrounding the mall needs to be renovated...badly.
