Default Moving to Augusta with three kids

I'm looking for an area that has a low crime rate, good high schools, shopping centers, & restaurants.

Metro Augusta population is 545k. The metro has many diffrent suburbs/cities/towns to choose from. There are six counties(Richmond, Mcduffie, Aiken, Columbia, Edgefield, Burke) in metro Augusta. The CSRA(Central Savannah River Area) Augusta's trade area. Is 20-22 counties in GA and SC.

In order of size. All have nice and low crime areas. All have a good or decent high school. Some have more lower crime areas, good schools, and shopping choices than others.

1st tier....West Augusta, South Augusta, Martinez, North Augusta, Evans, Aiken

2nd tier....(limited shopping and restaurants) Hephzibah, Grovetown, Thomson, Edgefield, Waynesboro

3rd tier...( Have to drive to most dining or shopping) Blythe, Harlem, Clearwater, Mcbean, Gracewood, Beech Island, Keysville, Appling, Dearing, Belvedere, Graniteville, New Ellenton

I recommend Evans. There are lots of nice and safe areas for a person such as yourself.

North Augusta fits your criteria. NA is a growing city with a short commute to Augusta. The city has made extreme efforts to become pedestrian friendly.

Move to Aiken County. The schools there are great. Local non chain restaurants are being developed in North Augusta and Aiken. Emmanuls Bread Cafe is awesome. You are still near disgusta for mall access and their famous chain restaurants. Do not live in Augusta though is crime and schools are a factor. Richmond County has a very high crime rate. Columbia County has good schools as well but traffic is bad and it is nothing more than uncontrolled suburban sprawl.

Lol the same nonsense over and over. Atleast when you used the screen name disgustasucks. You used to bash of all Augusta. Now you stick to mainly bashing RC.

Richmond county does not have very high crime rate. Compared to other main city counties in GA. Violent crime in Augusta is lower than Columbus, Macon, Savannah, and Atlanta.

West Augusta, Hephzibah, Mcbean, Blythe, CBD, in richmond county. All have a lower crime rate than North Augusta.

Have you notice you're the only person on these boards. That bashes Augusta. Nobody but you Disgustasucks, kit624, expatriado, and par4him.

As someone who lives in Aiken county. I can assure you every school is not considered good. There are high crime areas in the county. Two weeks ago there were three murders in four days. And four murders in a week. North Augusta and Aiken both have there fair share of undesirable areas.

I live right up the road your home town and I would not exactly consider Marietta a controlled growth area. In Fact their sprawl is far worse than Columbia County. If you hate uncontrolled suburban sprawl then why do you live in it?
