Scored an NSA job? I'm not familiar with those specific neighborhoods but generally the whole area is good on that side of town. Take a look at the street view on google maps at the areas.

The apartments on Blue Ridge Drive near Lakeside high school. Have become section 8 stopming grounds. That area used to be safe but not anymore. Don't move into Lakeside Townhomes. The area around Pickett Fences is better. Old Petersburg is still a decent area.

We used to live in St. Andrews right behind Lakeside High. I think most of the area is pretty good. We currently live off Old Petersburg, and there are some nice neighborhoods there as well. If you have kids, we have been very happy with South Columbia Elementary.

Those are all great neighborhoods in a great school district. You'd be happy with any of them.
