What do you predict the new year (and new decade) will bring to Augusta?
New shopping, new dining, new jobs, new government projects, new (re)development, anything you think can or will happen.
What do you think the new year (and decade) has in store?

The Tee Center will stall again. Another headquarters will leave the city. Another call center will open.

There was a RUMOR a few years back about a Target building somewhere in that area, plus that big chunk of land on 25 across from the Food Lion was cleared off, but nothing ever was built...there was also supposed to be some sort of housing development in the area just past where the new US-25 I520 connector is now, but the only thing that was ever done to it was a sign put up with the name of the development (I don't know why it fell through, this thing was announced way before the recession). But there is a lot of unused land all around where 520 is now so I'll have to wait and see.
