It really depends on the location.
If its just off Bobby Jones and on a route that sees alot of traffic going downtown to the hospitals or to the base then it will do fine if it was say over near the Harveys then that would be a different story.

The same thing can be said for Grovetown. The location near I-20 will do fine, but a location in the city limits near the old Food Lion is a different story.

Only time will tell. I know it is somewhere on Peach Or hard inside Bobby Jones. I guess they are betting on people who are traveling thru the area to and from airport or other areas and not so much from surrounding neighborhood which is pretty low per capita income. We should take bets to see how long it lasts.

This should probably be in the medical district thread, but what is the update on the bus depot, gateway project, and mill renovation in Harrisburg?

Exactly. I am really surprised there is no Starbucks or coffee house of any sort in the medical district. Sure you have metro (which is really more of a bar for day drinkers) and new moon downtown but it's really not that convenient for people working in the medical district who would like to grab a coffee on a break or on way in to work. I do hope the Southside location succeeds. We shall see if the blue collar folks on the Southside will pay over $3 for a cup of coffee. I do think the medical professionals and students would most certainly support a Starbucks somewhere around 15th St or Walton Way or St. Sebastion.

I believe All4Augusta was saying their comment may belong in the Medical District thread.

Both the VA and University have a Starbucks.

The Starbucks (which isn't really a Starbucks) in University is only open until 4:30PM, and only during the week.

Right. Sorry, i didn’t mean to mislead. I noticed the Kroger shopping center is pretty much demolished now! Hopefully, it doesnt sit vacant for too long.

Does anyone have any knowledge of when or if the Aiken Mall is changing to an outlet mall?
