I lived in Augusta in the 1990s and part of early 2000s. Remember the extra traffic in Augusta - big hassle. You locals must be happy when the place clears out after Sunday's final round.

man, traffic saturday night and sunday night was the worst - even downtown was bumper to bumper from people taking calhoun expressway. i was at the tournament sunday and it took me almost two hours to get out, and i was parked close to the exit. saturday was pretty much the same according to the chronicle.

yeah, the traffic is horrendous during Master's week, but I still enjoy the tournament being here throughout the week. it's nice to have Augusta on top of the sports world for a week, haha.

I agree. The Masters is the only time when you hear Augusta mentioned. For about two weeks, the city of Augusta is mentioned before Atlanta.
