1. If you keep a road map in your car and consult it regularly, the roads are very manageable
2. The weather is summer hot but not unbearable so far. Driving home at night with the windows down--80 degrees feels almost cool, it's wonderful.
No, you don't hangout out in the heat of the day outside unless you're at the pool or lake, but just running errands, etc is fine. I wouldn't hangout in the middle of the day outside in Chicago summer, either. The constant changes are pretty cool. One day it went from sunny and 92 to dark, menacing and a fast drop to 72 degrees. We were almost cold!
3. The scenery is breathtaking. You could get whiplash trying to see it all-especially on 360 or 2222. With a storm brewing...wow.
4. Hamilton Pool is worth a trip. We're going to try every swimming hole this summer!
5. The traffic isn't that bad if you watch the time and don't take obvious routes. If you don't have far to go-take the access road.
6. There's a lot of...sky. You wish you had a panoramic camera lens.
7. You'll never have to eat at a Chillis or Fridays again.

Still looking to meet newbie families, though.

Go figure.
If we could organize a boycott...

I have no desire to move across country to live as if I could be Anywhere, USA.
Our family has a long list of places to try. Can't wait!
