@ thedogatemyhomework - I tried to register through the website, but it seems I have to be a distributor or an interior designer. Maybe I was trying to register for a catalog. I don't think it was for a mailing list....but then agian, I don't think I saw an option for a mailing list. So you're right. It's very confusing....

But thank you both for the input.
They have two websites - one for wholesale and one for the store. If you go to Four Hands Home, the bottom of the page has a link you can click to register for specials, etc. If you go to just the Four Hands website, then I believe that registration is the one that is only for dealers/designers.

Places like Four Hands! The are a classic wholesaler, middle-man between the artisans and manufacturers and retail stores. I don't think it is as much "cloak and dagger" as a reflection that the vast bulk of their business is not done at the retail level.
Exactly. That's what I read...that they distribute to Crate and Barrel, Z Gallerie, etc. I'm still interested to see everything they have to offer.

Their Warehouse sales are very good. Only problem is that what you want may or may not be at the sale. And it can be hard to get more than 1 of anything (so chairs are very hard - ended up getting 2 types for our table, which actually looks nice!).

They get pretty crowded too. I always think it's funny seeing the upper-middle class folks who usually buy there acting like it's a Walmart Black Friday event. When they open up a roped off section, you see people running in there to get to what they want. Decked out grannies elbowing other people for position. Fun stuff!

The furniture they sell in the Warehouse event is very marked down, and seems to be good quality. Solid wood, mostly. Chairs that are $250 sell for $100. Tables that sell for $600-700 go for $250. The bed frames go like hot cakes. May not be in pristine quality, but if you want pristine, you shouldn't be buying in a sale.

I'm happy with what we've gotten at the Warehouse sales. Never bought anything from the actual store, though. Way too expensive.

I'm starting to become fond of the "mis matched" chair look for dining tables. Sounds like you got a good deal!

And wow. I didn't think about the crowds I might have to fight. I don't go out on Black Friday for that reason. But I might be willing to endure it for their warehouse sale, because like you said, the regular prices just aren't justifiable for me. I'll just make sure I'm prepared for the decked out grannies....I know they can get ruthless!

I missed the warehouse sale this past weekend, but I'm hoping there's one coming up real soon.
