My buddy and I will be in Austin in September and hopefully find ourself tickets to the UT game. Both are huge college football fans, and have heard so much about Austin as a great place. We'll probably be there for a few days was wondering what are the places that we should go visit? I know we will definitely go check out the UT campus and the statdium for sure and the Capitol building! Any suggestions???

Actually, not to be redundant in this forum, there was another thread recently from an OP who asked a similar question and received a slew of responses in the return.

New York City Guy Visiting Austin (and Texas) For First Time in September

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the link!!! I just hope we can find a decent hotel when we visit due to the football game. This is probably a dumb question, but is it really hard to find tickets to UT games? I know it's not a big rivalry game but still a home opener

For the Wyoming game? Absolutely not... there will be 1000's of tickets available outside of the stadium in the hours leading up to the game. If you don't have season tickets (which you obviously don't), it's the way to go. Otherwise, all of the resalers will be selling for face or much more leading up to the game. Day of the game, tickets will be well below face all around the stadium. Just make sure you don't buy any tickets that say LASP on them... they're student tickets and require an ID to get in.
