I have recently acquired a diesel tractor and would like to run the untaxed farm or red diesel in it. I live in Bastrop County near Webberville.

Does anybody sell it at a station pump around East Austin, Elgin or Bastrop?

I won't use enough to justify buying an onsite tank and having it delivered or even driving very far to get it. I figure I might use 5-10 gallons a month during the mowing season....maybe less since this Kubota seems to use 1/2 gallon or less per mowing hour.

Try calling some feed stores by you and ask them. The locals should know.

We used to buy it at equipment rental places. Now, my husband just uses the same diesel that we use in the pickup (from the pump), because it would cost more to go find and buy the red diesel than he would save in tax, given how little he uses the tractor.

Yeah, was figuring the price difference would not be enough to go to extreme efforts to get the red, but if there was someplace on one of my regular paths I would make a point to grab some when I was in the neighborhood.

I will have to check with TSC in Bastrop to see if they know where to get it.

Triple S Petroleum delivers in the Webberville area.

Do not know if you can walk in with a can and buy it there.
