We are also loving the metrorail. DH commutes to work on it and we have gone down to one car. However, I am bummed they don't have more service. I would use it frequently to take the kids downtown for some fun but it is strictly for commuters right now. Hoping that will change soon.
I do think it is extremely lame that they only have it running from Leander to downtown.

Glad to see it is starting to catch on. Here in Northern IL regional rail is popular, but it has been running for over 100 years. In Austin it is brand new so it will take some time to build. I understand that the parallel highway is congested so there is already an incentive to ride. However, some will have to get used to the idea of their vehicle not being close by at all times.

And only weekdays to boot. Now that I've decided to rent in Cedar Park it would have been quite fun to hop on the rail for a day trip downtown on a Saturday.
