Any places around that area offering cheap oil changes? I know some garages would put up their 12.95 oil change sign, but I don't see any around here.

There is a place on spicewood springs and wood hollow that always has the signs up. It is on the north side of spicewood springs. If you go on a weekday morning they have specials (but I think it is more like 25 not 12).

Yes, there is a Jiffy Lube just west of Mopac on Spicewood Springs (at Woodhollow) that is usually empty. If they don't have the signs, you could also walk in and ask if they'd give you the $10 off special even though you didn't bring the coupon. If not, just cross mopac and there is also one on the east side (Anderson Rd) at approximately Rockwood lane... a little busier but I often see them holding up the sign too.

OP - since you can probably adjust the derailleurs on your bike you should be able to change the oil yourself for between $10-$15.

- Buy 5 qts brand name oil at Walmart - $10
- Buy Supertech (Walmart brand) oil filter (better than Fram anyways) - $4
- If you don't already have one, buy a drain pan and ramps if you can't get under your vehicle.

1. warm up vehicle
2. open fill cap
3. open drain plug (probably 17mm)
4. drain oil; replace plug
5. change filter
6. put proper amount of new oil
7. pour used oil back into empty oil bottles
8. recycle oil

Every oil change place in Austin must take back used oil.
