30 minutes to downtown Austin? with, or without traffic?

From downtown with traffic, the only ones I could think of would be Westlake Hills, Pflugerville or Manor.
To get to the Austin city limits from downtown alone will take you 30 minutes in most cases.

If you're referring to "30 minutes from the outer edge of Austin" then that could mean almost any town in Williamson, Blanco, Hays, Caldwell, or Bastrop county.

...Kyle/Buda, Manor, Dripping Springs, San Marcos, Lago Vista, Lakeway, Georgetown, Elgin, ....Some are within 30 minutes but throw traffic in and the time frame changes considerably.

Ah, land is easier found in places like Bastrop, Dripping Springs, Wimberly, Spicewood, Driftwood, Rosanky etc.

When you factor in traffic, all those towns would not qualify. Especially Lago Vista, that entails driving 20 miles NW to Leander, then cutting back SW for another 15 miles.

I would buy in western Bastrop (Wyldwood, Cedar Creek) or SE Travis county if you want land.

I drive all of these towns at somepoint in my regular travels and have a pretty good sense on the time frames however, as mentioned, throw in traffic and the time frames change drastically. Different times of day determine time frame. Without knowing the OP's specific situation the net is pretty big....

Not much outside of the City Limits would be within 30 minutes to downtown "most days - during peak traffic hours".

Many areas inside the City limits would be more then 30 minutes to downtown "most days - during peak traffic hours".

SW Austin, inside of the "Y" is within 30 minutes "most days - during peak traffic hours".
