Belton civic center (Temple: school, park, area)

Does anyone remember an old civic/community type of place in Belton? I visited there as a kid, and was passing through once trying to find it, with no luch. It was in a little park type area and the grounds behind it sloped downward towards a kind of hidden creek.

Ozzy, google "Temple Daily Telegram" and go to it's web site. Up near the top will be a "SEARCH" box. I typed in "Belton" and got lots of hits. I remember reading about the old Harris School and sure enough I found it on page two at the very top. That may be what you are looking for.
