Default 3 month rentals

Hi,

Thanks to all the people who contribute to this forum - it sure is very helpful for someone considering a move to Austin - hoping someone can answer my query..any idea of any rental communities in and around the Round Rock area that will do a 3 month lease (extendable on a month to month basis after that) - looking for a 2-3 bedroom...thanks for all your help.

Max

Very few house landlords will want to go through the effort of a 3-month lease, so you will have to search pretty hard if that is what you are looking for. Many apartments may consider a month to month lease, but will charge you a higher price...not sure what, though.

I just did an extensive search for short-term furnished housing with a google search "corporate housing austin" with month to month. Some might come unfurnished if you don't need it.

Try tchnetwork.com which is a search engine that spits out your needs to many corporate housing agencies and they contact you with what they have available. Another good site was: Austin Apartments, Austin Apartment Texas: ALL AUSTIN .COM - Austin Apartment Locators TX apartment locator service.

Also, we found TONS of short term rentals on Craigslist but needed furnished which was harder to find.

Good luck!

We used an apartment search service and they came up with Waters Park which is off Parmer ln. and Mopac. They do a 3-month lease but nothing furnished. They do rent the washer/dryer to you and I think they can recommend furniture rental services. This was also the same place our realtor recommended we look up.

That was the only place we found on short notice that did 3 mos. lease then month-to-month at a cheaper rate if you stay longer. Not that rent is "cheap" by any means.

We just did this same search and found Camden Laurel Ridge apartments. I think they'll do month to month right off the bat, but it's more. But they'll do 3 month lease. Not sure if they have 3 bedroom, definitely 2 bedroom. Not furnished. Oh, just past McNeil and Parmer.
