Default Posts disappearing in the Austin Forum...

I don't know if this OP will stick or not, but I have been experiencing numerous posts disappearing here in the Austin forum the last couple of days. Untouched by moderators.

I notified management here http://www.city-data.com/forum/about...l#post16006125

but just thought you all should know.

For shame.

I think a lot of fun posts have been moderated a bit too much lately. Just my $.02.

Were some of the posts related to a specific company? I wouldn't be surprised if an ad was deleted that showed a competing company to a C-D advertiser in a positive light, e.g. a competitor to Barton Place Condos (see above). Or vice-versa an advertising company in a negative light. Car magazines have been accused of giving favorable reviews to their big advertisers for a long time.

I don't know that posts are disappearing but there does seem to be something wrong with its tracking mechanism. Apparently I had 0 people read any of my posts yesterday. Apparently, people responded to my posts with out actually reading them. Wait a minute! I think that may frequently happen on this forum based on some of the responses I've read.

FWIW, there aren't any deleted posts that I can see in the threads you referenced in your ATF forum thread. (If they were deleted due to moderator action, I would see them.) If Marka's not seeing any, with her access to message board records, I'm inclined to agree with her diagnosis that they never made it there in the first place.

I'll leave this thread open in case others in Austin are having the same symptom.

In the past I have had the same problem with no resolution. By the looks of the statistics chart mine took a major dip as well starting Tuesday the 21st.

I went and looked and, yep, dramatic drop (as in cratering) on the stats starting on Tuesday, to almost zero.

There is definitely a problem.
