So we moved here in July and are going to hit DT tonight for the first time. We have been told 4th street is the place to go. Any advice? We are early 40's and want to hear some live music - casual atmosphere.

Friday night in November? (in texas)

Who would have told you 4th street would be "the place to go"???

House Park & the Palace on Parmer would be the top 2 spots tonight.

just kidding....kind of . Hopefully someone will chime in with the best spot to hear a band tonite.

If you want casual, try Antone's, Stubbs... and maybe go to SoCo/SoLa area instead -- Continental Club, Saxon Pub... not sure who is playing at any of those places. But they are typically laid back and good.

What is "DT" ?
Where is "SoLa" ?

I know SoCo is South Congress (which I still say as a full two words to anyone).
