Who is responsible for maintaining street lights where you live? (providing you have street lights)

Austin Energy owns and maintains them... in our neighborhood at least.

The city of Austin also maintains the historic moon towers:

I'm not sure if Austin has anything to do with our streetlights or not. I'd call Williamson County first.

There can be a variety of answer for that one, but I suspect the city you reside in (if you are in a city) is responsible to some degree, but it may be 'administered' through the local electric company(ies), I am not sure.

Are you asking about Hutto specifically? If so, they are maintained by Oncor:
Hutto, TX - Official Website - Street Lights and Signs

Not trying to be mean but if I wanted to ask specifically I would have. I wanted to know about the different areas. Thank you for the replies.

It is Oncor in our area. The only reason I know this is because they have a web app to report if a particular streetlight is out.

Is it safe to say that it will typically be the TDU (transmission and distribution utility) for the area, that also maintains the poles & wires for electricity? E.g. Austin Energy, Oncor, Pedernales Electric, Bluebonnet Electric in their respective service territories?

I reported a couple of burnt out ones to Oncor a month or so ago, and it took two tries, but they finally replaced them.
