Default Horseshoe Bay?

my mom lives out of state and is looking to invest in a condo/townhome in Horseshoe Bay/LBJ area....i have looked at the websites, but would like to hear "personal" feedback on what the area is like, what living is like there, culture, people, lifestyle.
do you think buying in the area is a good investment?

cmalmond is on a distinguished road
I don't know much, but I thought I'd offer what little I know.

I have family in Marble Falls (not Horseshoe Bay). It seems like Horseshoe Bay is the place you want to be in if you want to live in that area (which I think is mostly true, but the people who live there definitely think it's true!). I have driven through and it is very hilly, but there are great views.

Look into nearby shopping. I know my family goes a little nuts when they make the drive into Austin because there are not a lot of stores (all the kids in school wear the same Walmart clothes). But I'm not sure if Horseshoe Bay would be closer.

I didn't hear much about HB and the recent flooding, so I think they are in a good location flood-wise.

Hopefully someone else can help you too!
