Monument Cafe
has an interesting 'free' lunch, specifically for volunteers of a particular holiday meals event; BUT, you might check out availability for a guest diner. Strikes me as a perfect 'Mom' kind of place.

620 Cafe in Round Rock is really good but I looked at their website and didn't see Holiday hours posted. You could call to find out. Monument Cafe is good too
