I live in RR. Does anyone know where I can take a old mattress for disposal. I don't mind paying a fee.

Mattresses

Pay-As-You-Throw customers can set mattresses and box springs out during their bulky item collection. Please place the mattresses with other non-metal items.
You may be able to dispose of mattresses at local landfills for a fee.

In my RR neighborhood, the garbage men take them. I see mattresses set next to the trash cans and gone when the garbage men come thru.

The City of Austin won't pick up stuff like that every week. But they do have 2 times a year when they have "Large object pickup" including old furniture, mattresses, etc.
