This post does a great job of emphasizing my earlier point.

The OP asked for helpful posts about Buda. You said Buda was "treeless", but you didn't really mean "treeless". And you said the houses were "5 feet from each other", but you didn't really mean "5 feet from each other". So I guess what the OP should take from your postings is that when you say anything negative about the Austin area, it isn't really true.

I think anyone with sense can infer what he is saying through his use of obvious exaggeration.

Most new, especially low cost developments here build houses on small lots and have nothing but short, new trees. From my observation Buda has many newer, low cost developments.

That is absolutely true. I can only give my personal observations based on what I see. Places like Buda, Kyle, Hutto, Manor, and Elgin are pretty much the exact same places. They are strictly bedroom communities with a few faceless strip malls that everyone likes to get excited about. Most of the newer homes are poorly constructed on flat land with small yards and very little distance between neighbors (to save money of course). Small communities like this are a prime example of the phrase "you get what you pay for"

And that's a great post. You gave your opinion of exactly what was asked for without it being full of lies or insults. I actually think that will help the OP.

We almost bought in Buda for the same reasons you like it. Elementary school is great (we were looking at Elm Grove), YMCA is nice and close, and we felt like Buda had a great location. In the end, we decided to move to Georgetown. We love it here! You may want to come check it out!
