Temporary housing (Austin, Edinburg: mortgage, real estate, for sale)

My partner and I are looking for a temporary house in Austin until we sell our home in Edinburg, TX. and then we would buy another house. We have just put up our house for sale (no mortgage) and want to move immediately because we are been harassed by the neigbhors and it is taking a toll on the both of us. We are both seniors, retired. Our house would be safe here according to our real estate agent.

Have you tried looking in your newspaper? There might be places that rent month to month or sometimes there are hotels even that will rent by the month.

Good luck. I know what you are feeling because we have neighbors that we hate and they call the police on us every chance they can. The last time was because we have bird feeders and their dog got scratched by a raccoon (supposedly) and so it was my fault since I feed birds I must attract the raccoons. Then a week later I had to jump out of the way as she swerved towards me to yell and call me B*T&H. They have a beagle that barks 24/7 and we politely asked if they could try to keep the dog quiet because my hub works third shift and she lets the dog out at 6am and it barks til 11:30pm. That is what started the whole mess. It has escilated from there.

So I know how much you probably want out. I really would look in the newspaper and see if you can find a temp place there or check out craigslist. You could even post an ad there (it;s free) and see if you can find some help.
