Kind of like when people say they live in San Francisco and their home address is in Walnut Creek?

If you're not in a city, you're in the county... that simple. There are sometimes areas/communities in the counties that will give themselves a name even though they are not incorporated (you see this a lot in rural areas). |

It's not so black-and-white here like it is in other states. Also, in defense of people who say they live in Austin instead of a suburb, they're probably just trying to communicate with people who know where Austin is but don't know where Liberty Hill is. Same thing with Los Angeles --- if someone tells me they live in LA, I think of the entire metro area and ask "which part?" They cannot assume that I know all the suburbs and the inner-city districts, so it's easier just to say "I live in LA" because most people don't care if you actually live in Pomona or Torrance or Simi Valley. It's all the same to the average non-Angelino. |

I have to do that a lot since not many people have heard of Hutto. Or I say I live just a little North East of Austin, or in the Austin area. And as far as helmets go, they only protect your head. What about people who wear a helmet, shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops? You're gonna get hurt irregardless, even if you wear your leathers. A helmet won't necessarily protect you from a broken back, hips, and legs. You'll end up in the E.R anyway if you live, and cost the taxpayer in that regard too. Should some other type of body armour then also be government mandated?
(Purely hypothetical question here....I'm not saying this in an intentionally mean spirited way towards anyone!) *ironically, one of my dad's cousins was a dr. who got into a bike accident, and is now brain damaged. |

No! Really? Just the other day I was on a Cambodian forum and we were chatting about Hutto...

"I have lived in Texas my entire life and I still have no idea what in the hell a Constable is. I've asked other people and they don't know either. Ha, glad to I'm not the only one. So the process servers here get special cars, uniforms and guns...got it. Speaking of guns, where are all the gun stores? I thought this is Texas but all I see are pawn shops - have yet to see a gun store. Maybe Austin is even more liberal ( or left leaning or what ever you want to call it) than even I assumed... |

The gun thing is a stereotype... just like how everyone in Texas has a cowboy hat
![]() If you're in Round Rock you will not see the eco-friendliness you will find in Austin. Recycling is pretty typical of any neighborhood in the city itself. |
