Default Good places to take pictures?

Are there any parks or other cool places to take some pictures? I am wanting a place that is kid/family friendly. Parks? Places with colorful backdrops?

I am looking mainly in NW Austin/Round Rock/Georgetown/Hutto/Cedar Park area.

Thanks!

Nowhere if it won't stop freaking raining!!!!

Seriously, though - chalk another one up for the wildflower center. It's free and pretty vacant in the middle of the day.

Also head out to 360. There are a few lookout points there with great shots of the city and the basin.

Town Lake Hike & Bike trail (downtown & water views, SRV statue), The Oasis (restaurant), the bluffs at 360/2222 (park on the NW side of the bridge, then go up the trail -- but watch the kids closely, there are no guardrails), Mt Bonnell, the State Capitol (inside and out), Congress Ave @ the river (where the bats are, but on the bridge looking N is a great photo op), top of the UT tower, Bull Creek district park (park on Lakewood S of Bull Creek, huge rocks & water... N of Bull Creek is a no-leash dog park), Wild Basin preserve.

Those are all North and West or right at the river. The Oasis is reasonably close to Cedar Park. I also recommend the Zilker Park/Botanical Gardens/Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Barton Springs Pool, but those are just south of the river. Wildflower center is great, a little bit further south.

Georgetown has San Gabriel Park. Also, the downtown area. Between Round Rock and Hutto is Old Settlers Park and the Dell Diamond. Hutto has some Parks, but for scenic photographs, not so much. Rice's Crossing has some pretty farmhouses, but that's about it. You could venture some of the backroads and find some places that might be worth a photo. It's mostly farmland. There are some pretty old houses in "old" Hutto behind downtown. There's downtown RR. and a park not far from there by 35 on the creek that is nice.

Go out a little north of G'town and the Corn hill church is really cool to take pictures of. Second the San Gabriel Park suggestion, some great trees there, as well as ducks/geese and just general 'serenity'. Colors pretty much limited to green, though, I suppose .

Lake G'town has some nice parks (Cedar Breaks, Jum Hogg, Russell Park).
