I would definitely call ahead if you're going to head to any of the more popular sit down places like Oasis, Hula Hut, or Chuy's. Ten kids plus additional adults could put you in line for a long wait as they free up a big enough table, but maybe a call ahead of time could help out. The last time we tried to go to Hula Hut on a Saturday evening, we were told that the wait would be two hours by the Hula Hut employee in the golf cart driving people there from the parking lot up the hill. Parking is very limited there as well. It's definitely a great place to go, but it seems like whenever we go, it's really crowded.

You really should try to get out more. That was 2005. The Oasis rebuilt a long time ago and has been open for ages.

Hula Hut does not take reservations. I don't think Chuy's does either.

It was a joke. I guess fire is a hot topic these days.

I did not say any such thing. But since you brought it up, we did not enjoy the food last time we ate at the Oasis.

Ron, you don't get my sense of humor, and that's okay. No need to get uptight about it.

Exactly. That's why they are risky options with a large group, but maybe they could at least give you an idea of what the wait might be if you call ahead of time. But, I guess it's possible that their phones go straight to voicemail.
