Default Young family wants small town feel...

Hello,
I'm a native houstonian transplanted to the Phoenix area due to my husbands job. We are planning on making a move back to Texas by the end of the year. I know Austin has changed over the years- looking for feeback on where to live... Here goes!
Honestly we can live anywhere because my husbands job requires him to travel- he is in sports- we are just looking for a home base.
We have 2 young children.
Looking for a small town feel, not a suburb.
I have family in Lakeway- but do not want to be in Lakeway- just somewhat close (around 30 min) tops.
Looking for a bible based church that has activities and a strong fellowship.
I hope to open a spin studio in the future- looking for a town that would welcome a new business
We love festivals and a strong sense of community- sports, schools, etc.
Hope to find 3-10 acres with a newer house already built...
Thank y'all sooo much

have you looked in bee cave or spicewood?

depends a lot on your price range, but to get 3+ acres you are going to need to get pretty far out unless willing to spend significant $$

You could try Taylor, TX.
Not too far from Austin (79 and 130) and still has that small town feel and some acreage homes surrounding it to boot.

Price range- up to 800k, I have explored Bee Cave and Spicewood- do u think they have their own vibe or is it really just Lakeway extended?

We are what you would probably call "country chic" lol, want somewhat of a rural feel but close enough to shopping, good schools, activities

I'd recommend Georgetown as being exactly what you're looking for, except that it's further than 30 minutes from Lakeway. Try Dripping Springs.

I thought about them, but probably not in the 30 minutes to Lakeway range.
