My 7 yr old daughter just recently went to a birthday party at Main Event. She had so much fun. The party group went bowling, ate pizza, did some rock climbing and then hit the arcade machines. She's still talking about it. Not sure how expensive it is though.

Bowling, laser tag, billiards, arcade, birthday parties, group and corporate events , Dallas area, Houston, Austin, and Lubbock

Swimming party at the Y? Bowling? Slumber party? What is your budget. That would be the easiest way to decide.

I'm open on budget. The heat is an issue. Trying to make it unique and special for my artsy/unique girl.

Not adverse to a house party, but I do that so often that it doesn't seem unique enough.

Do a class at Stitch Lab! Sewing and Craft Classes and cool fabric in Austin at the Stitch Lab
They will do a special class for you if you want. I know a couple of young girls that did the "fascinator" class.

You could so a spa party. Lots of local nail places have special deals for girls' parties.

I know you said your daughter is artsy/unique...but July is kind of synonymous with water in my mind. If that's an option, how about Volente Beach. My friend had a party for her son there, and it was a pretty big hit.

You can also rent out one of the screens at the movie theatre.

Some good ideas. Thanks. I wonder if the sewing lady would come to my house? The fabric collage class looks fun.

The girl does like to get her nails done. Any place in central austin that does it up big for them?

Volente Beach? I've never been. Will have to check it out. Sounds too much of a liability risk for a party though.

you could call and ask them. They are super nice people and if they can't I'm sure that they know someone who will.
