Anyone else notice this summer, where for you the heat *tips* from being, 'this is okay' to, 'I'm losing it'?

I figured out mine is 108.

Up to that I can manage. Don't really like it, but can maintain.

108 and higher I feel nauseous and get a headache.

104 is mine. I can be comfortable till then and then it's just ridiculous.

It was 103 earlier in the summer for me but 105 now (I've acclimated slightly), which means except in the afternoon I'm good most days. Now that the temps are trending upper 90's, I'm back in business though. Upper 90's are doable for me, I actually prefer them for water activities.

Last night we went swimming and the pool actually didn't feel like a bathtub anymore and I was freezing when I got out (mainly due to the dry air). Then I was freezing in the house with the A/C set at 79. So I think I'm fully acclimated now.

Not sure what my tipping point is...I'd rather bike ride when it's 100 vs 70; but this 105+ stuff is for the birds! As I exited a building a couple of days ago, I noticed a VERY warm blast of air--like a truck or subway car just passed by. Then, I realized that WAS the air...felt like a convection oven. You didn't want a breeze since it served to 'cook' you even faster, rather than providing some cooling benefit.

It's scary how nice it feels now after sunset, when the temperature is 'only' 95.

If, like they say, sweating is good for you...we should all be feeling pretty darned healthy about now!

If I can't bike in it I don't like it. 92 or 93 degrees is usually my ceiling.

105!

I can manage well up to 104 but above that . . . I start to feel like I am going crazy!

(and when it is 102 after dark . . . that's crazy-making too!!)

I like the heat so im always rooting for the highest temperature possible. I like it when you stick your hand out the car window and it feels like a hair dryer. I always drink a lot of water too and that usually prevents me from getting headaches and feeling lethargic. I think if you drink 3-4 bottles an hour when its 106+ out you will be ok.

I think it's about 105 for me. Used to be about 102-3. I did get a run in on Sunday, when it reached 110 degrees... but at the time I went in the evening it was "only" 105. It was OK actually, except for the dust.

But 102-103 used to not even phase me. Probably now it will phase me even less. But I'm ready for this summer to end!

For me it's about 103. I never thought I would be looking forward to the days being back in the 90's. Back in CA we called that a heat wave, but now in Austin I look at that as a cooling trend. Who knew!
