Anyone know if this area has burned? It was evacuated earlier today. I'm concerned about a friend who lives on Timber Path. She got out ok (with her dog), but we don't know if her house still stands.

Can anyone help?

Thank you,
Your neighbor down the road in San Antonio

We don't get YNN with Uverse; so we are watching the scrolls of the local stations...pretty generic info. This is the latest update I could find:
Bastrop County Complex fire spans 14,000 acres - YNN - Your News Now

Best of luck to your friends and their neighbors. Windy and dark--not great conditions for fire-fighting, I'm afraid.

Thank you. We're listening to KLBJ, waiting.

I hope everyone survives this - residents, firefighters, emergency response, etc. Very scary stuff.

My friend heard from a neighbor (or I guess now a former neighbor) that their subdivision has burned to the ground, no structures standing.

I can't even imagine. Thank God she is safe.

Wow! Glad she is OK. Some Steiner folks are staying across the street with neighbors after returning to town and not even being able to go to their house. They don't know what to expect.

One of the Bastrop fires is now reported to be 6 miles by 16 miles in size...amazing.

Circle D is where they say the fire originated. 5,000 people evacuated so far with more to be evacuated. Over 400 homes burned down and it's at over 17,000 acres burned so far. It's not contained at this point and is getting very close to Bastrop State Park and a few other neighborhoods now. They said that North Dakota is sending some equipment to help fight it and it's on it's way now.

Does anyone have any information about homes on Spur Ct. at Circle D? A friend of ours got out with her dog and horse but we're unable to contact her now. Thanks!

This link has a listing of addresses of destroyed structures as of 09/07 at 07:00. Published by Bastrop county, in PDF. My friend's home is gone.
