Default ACL this weekend look out for traffic downtown

ACL is this weekend be aware of the extra traffic in the downtown areas. For those going for the first time there is no parking so I suggest parking somewhere several miles away and biking or walking the rest of the way.

Have fun its going to be hot and very dusty

Hopefully they'll crank the new sprinklers on the lawn before the festival begins, but not too much, we don't want it muddy. We just don't want it dusty either!

Ah yes ACL. A huge gathering of no name bands, drunk college kids, and older people who are acting like drunk college kids. Someone should take a poll as to the amount of beer consumed during this nationally recognized LOW BROW event. It would probably break 3 day beer consumption records.

No name band noise, Heat, dust, beer, and the excessive smell of cigarette smoke in the air at every turn, makes this truly another AUSTIN CLASSLESS ORIGINAL!

KEEP AUSTIN WIERD!!!

Translation: you're jealous of all the people that are going to have a great time at ACL this weekend and wish you had friends so you could go.

Yeah I went that year, dillo dirt never comes out of clothes. If people knew it was old doodoo and lawn clippings they might not be that excited.

I try and stay away during SXSW and ACL. We did go to Auditorium shores one year and had fun, but the traffic is a mess. I wouldn't go as far as eepstein though. Taking the bus and parking farther away is the best advice. That's what we ended up doing and it wasn't a hassle.

If you did try to take a picture that year, all you would get was a solid brown haze .

You could see it from miles away coming down MoPac - a huge cloud of dust going straight up.....
