Any recommendations for notable / reliable / reasonable companies for wood flooring? Not sure if we want solid hardwood or engineered yet.

I see Hardwood Flooring Services recommended a lot; they also have great Yelp reviews.

Artisan Hardwood Floors or Boatright Hardwood Floors are both good choices.

I don't know if it's a "great" place or not (guess that depends on your own definition), but I searched so many places in Austin before finally finding the perfect hardwood at Floor and Decor. I got a solid walnut hardwood with a really dark stain (exactly the look and texture I had been searching for) for MUCH less than everywhere else I had looked. They have all price ranges and all wood types (engineered, laminate that looks pretty real, etc). I'd give them a try. One thing - don't use the installers they can set up for you. They were rude, unprofessional, and their estimate was way higher than a company I found on my own which did a beautiful job. I was so put off from them just getting an estimate that I ran the other direction. Installers - bad. Flooring - great!
