Can The Longhorns repeat?
Can the Texas Longhorns repeat last year's performance by beating Ohio State this Saturday night? Coach Brown is a class act and I hope his team delivers a big whalloping 'W' against the Buckeyes.

I would love to see them thump the Buckeyes again and make Jim Tressel cry. That would add even more stature and allure to living in or around Austin.
Turn up the heat because the Bucks can't play in it.

OK, I'll be the outsider. I hope Ohio State puts a whooping on them. I hate UT. No, I don't think they will repeat. I predict loses this weekend against Ohio State and to Oklahoma. I've been wrong before though.

but Texas has a class coach in Mack Brown and he is a true master of the game. The Longhorns will be ready for the Bucks.

Hook 'em Longhorns!!!!! Make Coach Tressel of Ohio State pay for fibbing about the team he voted No. 1 in the USA Today Poll. He said he voted for Texas but the vote was for Ohio State.

Can UT not afford uniforms you can't see through? I'm watching the game now and seeing more than I want.

I am not worried about their uniforms but more about their sputtering offense in the 2nd half. I think Texas is slowly slipping away being down 17-7 and getting to be late in the 3rd qtr. They were stalled in their last drive and had to punt. Not looking good for the Longhorns.

I predict that OSU will beat the Longhorns by a score of 24-7. Dang, I'm good!
p.s. ---- that was a painful game to watch. I thought the commentators were being very generous to Texas about how "well" they played. They look promising as a young team to watch grow into something better, but they're NOT contenders this year. And Ohio looks very solid.

Reason: adding the p.s.

I fully agree with your comments. Expectations were simply too high this season for the Longhorns to repeat last year's sensational season and national championship. With those high expectations came a lot of disappointment and pain watching the game last night. Ugh! It got ugly to watch.
Who can beat the Buckeyes this year? Good question. If Notre Dame gets by Michigan and Michigan State, it could easily be OSU and ND playing for the national championship in early January. Stay tuned.
