I looked into it hoping to nominate Captain Ron, but it seems you can only nominate yourself! Please put yourself into the running, Ron!

Who else ought to be nominated?

I second the nomination. If I could make a chart or graph showing my support, I would.

I would add Austin-steve, and even though I sometimes disagree with his/her posts - hoffdano, and texashorselady. I learn from 90% of their posts, and along with CptnRn, they all have impeccable internet manners. And just in case anyone thinks I also might have impeccable internet manners (not likely), my nominees for the stupidest, least useful, and least informed posts would go to eepstein, artsyguy, and llkltk, though fortunately the last two have been quiet for a while. And for our excellent mods, the last sentence is not a personal attack in the TOS, but an objective assessment: I am happy to provide evidence if you would like.

Thank you kindly, I had no idea people had to nominate themselves. That seem a little odd, but I did sign up.

I also think Trainwreck20 and Austin-steve should throw their hat into the ring.

I think austinsteve, Trainwreck,cpnrn,mark-tyler,texasreb,ggrasshopper and yes, thl, are good choices. There are several others that I think are very informative as well.

Ok, I don't like how they are running this contest. First, you have to nominate yourself. Now, you aren't allowed to vote for others. I clicked on the link so that I could vote for someone else and ended up entering myself. I'd rather that members be allowed to vote for those they've come to appreciate versus having posts "judged." Just my humble opinion.

Nominate yourself. Ha ha. Narcissism at it's finest.

And frequent contributors completely falling for the madness. Is this some kind of new age social experiment?
