Today is my birthday too! I'm not 50 though. My husband is getting close and they keep sending him applications. He said he's not ready for his "old man card" yet

Congratulations, at 50 you can still tell yourself you are middle aged. Wait til you turn 60, its harder to believe that.

Ain't that the truth! I'm not there yet; but I keep telling myself that guys like Tom Selleck, Mark Harmon and Jimmy Connors are in that range(all a touch older than I am). Except for my 'wheels', I sure don't feel like I'm that old!(and I KNOW I don't act it! ) All that 'lack of maturity' I've displayed over the years is coming in handy now!
