My kids had a great time at HD...so that wasn't an issue at all. I'm also partial to Noble Firs, and they have a much better selection of them. Price does matter in this household, especially for something we're only going to keep for 3 weeks. So we were happy to save the money and we all had a good time!

Montana Fresh's prices makes Papa Noel look like like an outlet. BTW, their second location is at 620 and 2222. We've always had good luck at Home Depot and Lowes.

Does HD tie it to your car?

Went to HD & Pappa Noel last night - the Frasier Fir trees at HD were $45 for the 7-8' size. The Frasier Fir "Premium" 8' tree at Pappas was $119. Needless to say, we are enjoying our HD tree very much
BTW - HD trimmed, netted & loaded the tree on the top of our car.

I wouldn't go by what this poster says. The price of 8' at 119 is wrong.

Honestly, before you guys (or y'all) brought it up, I never would have thought of HD for Christmas trees. I looked on their website and now they're on sale and they will ship them directly to your house via FedEx Ground for free. That way you could tell the little ones that Santa sent them a tree!

Not sure I would trust a tree sight unseen .

As for the prices listed by Fleur, the HD price seems correct for in-store. Checked quickly online, and the prices are double or more than the in-store price, so that part about 'free shipping' is a bit of lie. I do not know what PN charges and they do not list anything online regarding prices,so no clue if that is accurate. Several other places listed prices online listed 'premium' Frasier firs for $100+, so it would not seem to be out of line.

Update...............went to HD which had a great selection. It's just a Christmas Tree....for a few weeks, and nothing more.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I also went to HD based on this thread. Our Noble tree is gorgeous and it was only $39.95.

One last word.............one year we bought a live Christmas Tree which we then planted in our yard that first year our first child was born. I believe it is still there, and hopefully will continue to thrive for years.
