So we've been back almost three years now, and it's only recently that we've started to discover all the whimsical, fun, relatively LOW COST things that there are to do in this town. I thought it might be good to post things that make Austin really a fun and vibrant place to live.

Last night we attended Santa vs. Satan in Foleyvision at the Alamo on South Lamar. I laughed so hard that my face hurt. It's only for one night, but they do it every year. An Alamo holiday tradition: Santa vs. Satan is coming to town courtesy of Foleyvision - 2011-Dec-17 - CultureMap Austin
So watch for it next year.

Coming up in March is Honk Texas HONK! TX | Festival of Community Street Bands, Austin, Texas They haven't updated their website yet but it's on again this year and it's a great family friendly event.

We also recently discovered the Puppet Improv Project PIP - Puppet Improv Project Such fun!

Certainly other City Data Austinites can add to this list.

The last I heard they had to do some work to comply with building codes but it was allowed to stay open.

Drive by the house just past the corner of Milton and Newton in 78704 off of (South Congress) I think it's 355 Milton?

It's a house covered in mosaic tiles. It's definitely whimsical!
