We use air purifiers with hepa filters (the filters arent cheap). However they get coated with a lot of crap. Using air purifiers makes it so that our A/C filters get almost no dirt. We like using the air purifiers because the filters you buy for your A/C still let a lot of stuff through which then just gets recirculated.

Quick update- We hired David Maduzia to repair the crack and the window leak. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. David is professional, prompt and meticulous.
